Kathleen "Kathy" Irene Saphos was born March 4, 1927 in Brentford, England to John James O'Mara and Sarah Ellen (Frances) O'Mara and passed away January 28, 2018 in Pearland, Texas.

On March 27, 1927 she was baptized at All Saints Church in South Action, England. Kathleen was a graduate of Berrymead High School, Class of 1944. met her future husband, Paul N. Kathleen "Kathy" Irene Saphos was born March 4, 1927 in Brentford, England to John James O'Mara and Sarah Ellen (Frances) O'Mara and passed away January 28, 2018 in Pearland, Texas.

On March 27, 1927 she was baptized at All Saints Church in South Action, England. Kathleen was a graduate of Berrymead High School, Class of 1944. met her future husband, Paul N. Saphos, who was in the U.S. Army during WWII at a dance and fell in love. After the end of WWII on November 22, 1946 they boarded the R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth which launched from South Hampton, England and took them to New York City. Upon arrival on December 2, 1946 in the presence of Vangelo S. Saphos (cousin) and Mary V. McGough, Paul and Kathleen married in Manhattan, New York. After getting married they moved to Houston, Texas to live with Paul's parents, Nick and Bertha Saphos. Two years later she gave birth to their first child, Valerie Ann Saphos, and 13 years later she had a little boy, Paul N. Saphos, Jr.. In 1961 they moved out of Paul's parent's garage apartment and purchased a home of their own on Rockhill Street in Glenbrook Valley, which Kathy lived in for 48 years. Kathleen was baptized at Annunciation Catholic Church in Houston on December 23, 1948. For several years she has been a member at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Houston.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents John and Sara O'Mara and loving husband of nearly 57 years Paul N. Saphos.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Valerie Ann Holtje and Paul N. Saphos, Jr. and his wife Karen J. Saphos, and grandchildren; Christopher Holtje, Mitchell Saphos, and Jennifer Saphos.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Colonial Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home at 11:00 am with interment immediately following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
