James Edgar Musgrove, 83, of Spring, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born in Houston, Texas, on November 23, 1933. James graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and shortly after married Freida Nell Hand on July 11, 1953. They would have celebrated their 64 anniversary on July 11th. He worked for Wyatt Metal & Boiler Works (later known as Wyatt Industries) for 25 years attaining the position of Vice President. James Edgar Musgrove, 83, of Spring, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born in Houston, Texas, on November 23, 1933. James graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and shortly after married Freida Nell Hand on July 11, 1953. They would have celebrated their 64 anniversary on July 11th. He worked for Wyatt Metal & Boiler Works (later known as Wyatt Industries) for 25 years attaining the position of Vice President. Afterwards he worked another 16 years as the General Manager of the International Supply Division of Wilson Industries, retiring in July 1998. James was in the R.O.T.C. at the University of Houston, entered the Army as Second Lieutenant, graduated from U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and served as an Army Reserves Instructor. He retired after 22 years of service in the Army Reserves as a Lt. Colonel. James had a passion for his family, his lake house, the United States of America, and the Lord. He was a deacon at Eastwood Baptist Church and was currently a member of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Spring, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar David and Ruby Edna Musgrove and his sister Ruby Joyce Blount. He is survived by:
wife, Freida; son, William Paul Musgrove and wife Kristen; daughter, Elizabeth Anne Cremona and husband Joe; grandson, Jacob Musgrove and wife Sarah
granddaughter, Katie Matula and husband Aaron; granddaughter, Lauren Miranda and husband Diego; grandsons, Lance Cremona, Brett and Justin Salamone
granddaughter, Sophia Salamone; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Wyatt Musgrove, and Luke Matula

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14th and 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15th. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15th at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home at 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, Texas.
