Gilberto C. Ramos, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, was born March 2, 1941 in Houston, Texas. He passed away on June 17, 2017. Gilberto "Beto" Ramos was a quiet simple man that will be dearly be missed by everyone who knew him, especially his family as well as his church family. He enjoyed listening to Christian music on his radio, watching TV, Gun Smoke, Andy Griffith Show and Hogan's Heroes were his favorites, as well as reading his bible. Gilberto C. Ramos, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, was born March 2, 1941 in Houston, Texas. He passed away on June 17, 2017. Gilberto "Beto" Ramos was a quiet simple man that will be dearly be missed by everyone who knew him, especially his family as well as his church family. He enjoyed listening to Christian music on his radio, watching TV, Gun Smoke, Andy Griffith Show and Hogan's Heroes were his favorites, as well as reading his bible. He gave monthly support to various hunger programs for over 30 years. Gilberto was instrumental in founding "La Roca" Pentecostal Church, along with Rev. Filomeno B. Martinez who preceded him in death in April 1998. He was a lifelong member of that church and played in the church band when it first opened in 1978. Preceding him in death are his parents, Julian G. and Esther C. Ramos; one sister, Irene Hernandez; his former wife, Pearl Garcia who recently passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. He is survived by and will be dearly missed by his children, Gilbert Ramos, Jr., Arlene Juarez and husband Benito, Anita Ramos, Amanda Martinez and husband Jose, Alissa Peña and husband William. Also cherishing his memory are his grandchildren, Avery Ramirez, Aubry Ramirez, Ariana Juarez and Analisa Juarez: great- granddaughter, Ava Ramirez and his siblings, Pete Ramos and wife Angelina, Rachel Reyna and husband Seferino, Esther Rocha and husband Thomas, Joe Freddy Ramos.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 and Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. with worship services at 7:00 p.m. at La Roca Pentecostal Church, 402 hahlo, Houston, TX 77020. On Thursday, June 22, 2017, funeral services will begin with visitation at 9:00 a.m. and worship to start at 10:00 a.m. at La Roca Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
